Edwin Henry Lemare

1865-1934
Edwin Henry Lemare was an organist and prolific composer of the late Romantic period. He was highly regarded as a concert performer and was the highest paid organist of his generation. He is most remembered for his technical wizardry, his transcriptions of orchestral works, and his ability to uplift the spirits of the masses.

"Lemare did something I never thought possible.
He made the organ dance."

Sir Malcolm Sargent
